The Declaration of the State of Emergency for Oizumi Town was removed.

The decision that the declaration of the State of Emergency for Oizumi Town which was issued on September 18th would be removed on September 30th was made at the countermeasures headquarters meeting against COVID-19.

Message from Mayor of Oizumi

The State of Emergency was declared on September 18th, because patients of COVID-19 infection increase. Since the number of new patient fell remarkably, I removed the declaration of the State of Emergency. I express my appreciation for all of you.
In the future, when one week average of number of patients exceeds 5 persons, or the town judges that it is necessary, there is a possibility that the State of Emergency is declared without notice in order to protect all inhabitants’ life. Please understand this and give your cooperation.
Although the declaration was removed, problems of COVID-19 are not resolved. So  your own measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 such as avoiding three C’s (Closed Spaces, Crowded Places, Close Contact Setting), washing your hand fingers, wearing a face mask, keeping coughing manner should be continued. 
In addition, wrongful discrimination, prejudices, bullying, or etc. related to COVID-19 should not exist. Please never do harassment and slandering in an absolute.

Criteria for the declaration of a State of Emergency in the future

There is a possibility that the State of Emergency is declared, when one week average of number of patients exceeds following number.

  • in case of exceeding 5 persons.
  • in case that the town judges that it is necessary.

But if the average number exceeds 4, a warning is issued.
