Request for Voluntary Suspension from Nursery Schools and After-School Care Programs

In response to the spread of COVID-19, a state of emergency was also declared in Gunma. In light of this situation, we ask for your cooperation in refraining from having your children attend nursery school, kindergarten, centers for early childhood education and care, and after-school care programs in the town.

Period for Requesting Voluntary Restraint

Monday, April 20th to Wednesday, May 6th, 2020

Families for which We Request Self-restraint

  • Families whose children can be seen at home because of telecommuting
  • Families with the guardians who are on childcare leave or looking for a job
  • Families with guardians who can take time off from work and take care of their children at home

If it is difficult to provide childcare at home or if the guardians cannot take time off from work (healthcare professionals, childcare workers, care workers, people engaged in the work handling daily necessities, etc.), childcare is provided at a nursery school, center for early childhood education and care, kindergarten, and after-school care program.

Fee

Fees will be calculated on a pro-rata basis from April 20 for families who cooperate in refraining from sending their children to nursery schools and after-school care programs.
If you are using a nursery school or after-school care program, you need to pay the full April fee, and we will refund you later depending on the number of days your child was absent.
For those who use a kindergarten or center for early childhood education and care, please contact your facility.

Procedure

Please fill in an “Application form for Reduction/Exemption of Facility Fee” and submit it to each facility.
The application form will be distributed from each facility.

To Business Operators

To encourage voluntary suspension, we ask you to seek ways to make it easy for your employees with children to take leave as much as possible.
