The Oizumi Town government will subsidize rent for those living in privately rented housing in the town in order to ensure the stability of housing for households with persons who had their dispatch work discontinued, had their jobs stopped, or had their job offers canceled due to the impact of COVID-19.

Eligible Households

Households with a member separated from employment owing to the impact of COVID-19 and falling under all of the following conditions are eligible.

  • Household in Town
  • The household has been living in privately rented housing in town since its member was separated from employment, etc.
  • The household member has not been employed for more than 30 days from the date of separation from employment, etc.

Subsidy details

10,000 yen per month (maximum 3 months)

Flow from Application to Subsidy Receipt

After 30 days or more from the date of separation from employment, etc., submit the application form with the necessary documents. After the town government examines the case, it will send notice of subsidy decision and then will provide the subsidy.

Application Procedure

Please apply by attaching the following necessary documents to the prescribed application form.。

  • Copy of the documents proving that the worker has been given a dismissal notice, etc., or has been separated from employment, etc.
  • Copy of the employment insurance certificate, etc., or any other document that confirms that the person has not been employed
  • Copy of the lease agreement
  • Copy of a bankbook, receipt, or other document that confirms payment of the rent, etc.
  • Bankbook of your account that will receive the benefit

Notification after Subsidy Decision

If any of the following applies to a person who has received notice of subsidy decision, please notify us immediately.

  • When you have paid the rent, etc. after the subsidy decision was made.
  • When your household no longer meets the requirements of an eligible household.
