Termination of accepting donation of cloth masks distributed by the Government

We have been asking our town residents for “donation of the cloth masks distributed by the Japanese government.” However, we would like to stop accepting donations as of July 31, as the spread of infection continues across the country and a large number of donations have already been collected.
Once again, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your warm support.
The donated cloth masks will be kept in the town and distributed to elementary school children when necessary.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 is increasing nationwide. We ask for your continued cooperation in preventing the spread of COVID-19 infection by practicing the new normal lifestyle such as avoidance of 3 Cs (closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings), ensuring physical distance, wearing masks, and washing hands.
