In FY2022, the “Gunma Prefecture Medical Interpretation Volunteer Training Course” will be held

Gunma Prefecture trains volunteers to provide medical interpretation services so that foreign residents can visit hospitals and other places with peace of mind.
A training course for medical interpretation volunteers will be held. Those who pass the level check on the last day will work as a Gunma Prefecture registered medical interpretation volunteer. The tuition is free.

Date

  • Day 1 :Sunday, November 27th, 10:30 ~ 16:00
  • Day 2 :Sunday, December  4th, 10:30 ~ 16:30
  • Day 3 :Sunday, December 11th, 10:30 ~ 16:30

Location

Gunma Prefectural Office, 2nd floor Visitor Center,  Conference Room  (1-1-1 Otemachi, Maebashi City)

Contents

  • Basic knowledge of medical care and interpretation, practical interpretation skills, etc. (lecture is given in Japanese).
  • Level check for the registration of Gunma Medical Volunteer Interpreter   

Eligible person

  • Have sufficient language skills to be able to communicate adequately in the language available for interpretation
  • For English, TOEIC score 785 or higher, EIKEN Grade pre-1 or higher, TOEFL iBT 87 or higher, IELTS 6.0 or higher.  
  • For foreign nationals, those who can read and write, including feeling, with sufficient communication in Japanese.

Target languages

All languages (4 trainees per language)
※For some languages, level check examiners may not be available, in which case you will be contacted individually.  

Capacity

24 people (4 trainees per language. The tuition is free. First-come, first-served basis)
