In FY2020, the “Gunma Prefecture Medical Interpretation Volunteer Training Course” will be held

Gunma Prefecture trains volunteers to provide medical interpretation services so that foreign residents can visit hospitals and other places with peace of mind.
A training course for medical interpretation volunteers will be held. Those who pass the level check on the last day will work as a Gunma Prefecture registered medical interpretation volunteer. The tuition is free.


  • Day 1 :Sunday, September 27, 10:30 ~ 16:00
  • Day 2 :Sunday, October 4, 10:30 ~ 16:30
  • Day 3 :Sunday, October 11, 10:30 ~ 16:30


Gunma Prefectural Office, 2nd floor Visitor Center, Showa Government Building 3rd floor Conference Room 35 etc (1-1-1 Otemachi, Maebashi City)


Basic knowledge of medical care and interpretation, practical interpretation skills, level checks, etc. (lecture is given in Japanese).
※In order to take the level check, you have to attend all three days of the course.

Target languages

All languages (4 trainees per language)
※For some languages, level check examiners may not be available, in which case you will not be able to register for the level check or a medical interpreter volunteer.


24 people(4 trainees per language. The tuition is free. First-come, first-served basis)
