FY2021 Disaster Response Drill for Foreign Residents

When a natural disaster strikes (earthquakes, typhoons), what would you do and where would you flee? This is the drill designated for non-Japanese residents to learn about how to respond to natural disasters here in Gunma.

When:

12:30~16:15 on November 11th, 2021 (Sun.)  (Registration starts at 12:00 noon.)
Please finish your lunch before coming here.

Where:

Momonoi Elementary School (2-16-4 Ote-machi, Maebashi)

Program: 

The drill will be conducted in simple Japanese.

  • Learn about natural disasters in Japan
  • Learn about shelter (The place you evacuate if a disaster strikes.)
  • Learn about emergency food (The food you eat at a shelter, etc.)

Participants: 

  • Non-Japanese living in Gunma (Need an application to participate)
  • Approximately 30 people

The drill is free.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, participants are asked to wear a face mask during the drill. Participants will be notified if the drill is cancelled.
