Training Course for Promoting Stable Employment of Foreign Residents (Learning of Japanese)

Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) will provide the Training Course for Promoting Stable Employment of Foreign Residents as a project of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare so that foreign residents who are seeking a job in Japan can acquire Japanese language ability and get stable jobs.

You can apply for online courses starting in October.

Status of Residence

Permanent Resident, Spouse or Child of Japanese National, Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident, Long Term Resident

Course

The detail schedule and other information will be explained at the orientation which is held in the beginning of the training. 

Level-2 

This course is designed for those who can read and write Hiragana and Katakana, and have learned Japanese a little, and can make simple conversation with Japanese a little in their life .

Course 10

Period: October 25th, 2021 ~ December 15th, 2021

Times: Monday – Friday, 08:30 ~ 12:30

Application Deadline: October 8th, 2021

Placement Test (Writing): October 11th – 13th, 2021

Placement Test (Conversation): October 18th, 2021  8:30~

Course 9

Period: October 25th, 2021 ~ December 15th, 2021

Times: Monday – Friday, 13:00 ~ 17:00

Application Deadline: October 8th, 2021

Placement Test (Writing): October 11th – 13th, 2021

Placement Test (Conversation): October 18th, 2021  13:00~

Notes

  • You will receive an e-mail from JICE to take the placement test. Please note that if you do not take the test during the designated period, you may not be able to participate in the program.
  • In the event we receive many applications, we may terminate the application process early. 
  • Those course period may be changed. 

Requirements for attending an online course

  • Please attend your course at home or other location where it is quiet and you can talk out loud.
  • You are responsible for paying all costs associated with accessing the Internet. The course will use more than 30GB of data per month. Please check your smartphone or home Wi-Fi contract. You may not use public Wi-Fi networks that are commonly available at convenience stores, cafes, etc.
  • You need to have a PC, tablet, smartphone or other mobile device that you can use exclusively for the duration
    of your course.
    Using a PC or tablet is recommended, although a smartphone may also be used. 
  • We will contact you about your placement test via email. Please make sure your email account is set so that you can receive emails from the “@softbank.ne.jp” domain.

How to Apply

You can register for online courses at Hello Work Offices (Public Employment Security Offices) in Tochig Prefecture and Gunma Prefecture.
