The Oizumi International Association promotes international exchange in Oizumi Town, where many foreign residents live, and engages in a variety of activities related to exchange and coexistence with foreign residents in order to create a multicultural community where mutual recognition of cultural differences is encouraged.

Language Courses and Subject Learning Support Programs

We are looking for students and volunteers for language courses and subject study support programs.

Full Year Japanese Language Course

Anyone can start studying Japanese at any time, regardless of level.
First-time students may be required to purchase a textbook.

  • Date & Time: Every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday only from 10:00 a.m. to noon
  • Place: Training room of the Public Hall South Annex 2F  (2011-1, Yoshida)
  • Eligibility: Anyone can participate
  • Application: Please come directly to the venue on the day of the class.
  • Fee: 100 yen per session (free for those 18 years old and younger, purchase a coupon ticket for 10 sessions for 1,000 yen)

Support for foreign children and students to learn school subjects

For children who speak Japanese but do not understand the subjects taught at school, volunteer supporters provide learning support tailored to each child or student.

  • Date & Time: Every Saturday, 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Place: Training room of the Public Hall South Annex 2F  (2011-1, Yoshida)
  • Eligibility: Anyone can participate
  • Application: Please come directly to the venue on the day of the class.
  • Fee: Free of charge

Volunteer Recruiting

We offer a variety of activities including language courses, subject study support programs, and exchange with foreigners. No prior experience in teaching Japanese or specialized knowledge of English conversation is necessary, and we welcome anyone interested in international exchange to join us.
