Request for COVID-19 and other infection control measures

Gunma Prefecture keeps track of how many cases of COVID-19 infections, etc. are reported per fixed-point medical institution per week.

In the Tatebayashi Public Health Center area, which includes Oizumi-machi, the number of cases of COVID-19 infection continued to decrease from 9.22 from February 12 to February 18 (Week 7) and 7.13 from February 19 to February 25 (Week 8), but turned to increase to 8.13 from February 26 to March 3 (Week 9). The number of cases decreased to 3.88 from March 4 to March 10 (Week 10), but then increased again to 5.50 from March 11 to March 17 (Week 11).

On the other hand, the number of influenza cases continued to increase: 16.00 cases from February 12 to February 18 (Week 7), 22.50 cases from February 19 to February 25 (Week 8), 21.63 cases from February 26 to March 3 (Week 9), 25.13 cases from March 4 to March 10 (Week 10), and 26.25 cases from March 11 to March 17 (Week 11).  The number of cases continued to increase to 26.25 from March 4 to March 10 (Week 10) and from March 11 to March 17 (Week 11). 
In response, the alert remains in effect in Gunma Prefecture.

We ask that town residents continue to take basic infection control measures such as ventilation, hand washing, and wearing masks when appropriate, as well as avoiding going out when feeling unwell.
