There are two type of cancer screening in the town that are the “group check-ups” conducted by the town and the “individual check-ups” conducted at contracted medical institutions.
Since contents of Gastric Cancer Screening are different between the group check-ups and the individual check-ups, please check detail and receive it.
By the way, please note that application in advance is required for various cancer screenings.
Individual Check-Ups
Please wear a face mask when you receive check-ups at the medical institution. If you have a fever or cold symptoms (cough, fatigue, breathlessness, etc.), please refrain from receiving the check-up.
By the way, there is the exemption system of self-payment for various medical check-ups. For details, please inquire of the Health Promotion Division.
Gastric Cancer Screening
If you receive the Gastric Cancer Screening (Individual) without applying for it to the town, you may have to pay full amount of payment by yourself. Please note.
- Period: June 7th, 2021 (Mon.) – January 31st, 2022 (Mon.)
- Contents: Medical examination by interview, Gastroscopy
- Eligible Persons: People aged 40 years and older who are registered as a resident in the town
Those who have received a gastroscopy conducted by the town in FY2019 or have received a barium test conducted by the town in this fiscal year are not eligible. - Self Payment Fee: 2,000 yen (Please pay to the medical institution that you received the cancer screening.)
Start date for application for Gastric Cancer Screening: from 9AM on June 2nd, 2021 (Wed.)
Application will be accepted at only the counter of the Health & Welfare General Center.
Please come to the Health Promotion Division with your “Jyushin-Seal/Label (Screening Ticket)” and “Okusuri-Techo (Medicine Notebook)” (If you have) directly.
Please note that application by phone call and e-mail are not acceptable.
Cervical Cancer Screening

June 7th, 2021 (Mon.) ~ November 30th, 2021 (Tue.)

Medical examination by interview, Cytological examination of the cervix
Eligible Persons
Females aged 20 years and older who are registered as a resident in the town
Self Payment Fee
500 yen (Please pay to the medical institution that you received the cancer screening. Free coupon tickets have been mailed around middle of May to females who were 21 years old as of March 31st, 2022.)
Application
Please apply to the Health Promotion Division directly or by phone.
Once you apply, we will send you a ”Jyushin-Hyo (Screening Ticket) around two weeks before the checkup date. If you do not receive a notice at least one week in advance, please contact the Health Promotion Division.
