Gunma prefecture has designated September as “Suicide Prevention Month” in order to spread correct knowledge about suicide and mental illness and to eliminate prejudice against them. Oizumi Town is also carrying out public awareness activities, so let’s take this opportunity to think about suicide prevention.
For Suicide Prevention
In the year 2021, 21,007 people in Japan including 382 people in Gunma Prefecture took their own lives. It is said that suicide is the result of being driven psychologically by multiple factors such as health problems, financial problems, and family problems. If you are tired but unable to sleep for more than 2 weeks, or if you continue to feel physically and mentally unwell, please consult your doctor or a consulting organization as soon as possible.
