COVID-19 vaccination for infants and toddlers

COVID-19 vaccination for infants (6 months to 4 years of age) is available. Information on application is mailed individually to those who are eligible. A “preliminary checkup sheet with vaccination ticket” will be sent separately to those who have applied. The vaccination is not compulsory. Please understand the advantages and disadvantages of the vaccine before deciding to be vaccinated.

Eligibility for the vaccination

From 6 months old to 4 years old

Number of vaccinations

3 doses (3 doses are required as initial vaccinations)

Type of Vaccine

Pfizer Vaccine for Infants
If the child reaches his/her 5th birthday during the first vaccination period of a total of three doses, the infant vaccine is used until the third dose.

Vaccination interval with other vaccines

At least 2 weeks before and after COVID-19 vaccination. 
However, for influenza vaccines, simultaneous vaccination (receiving different types of vaccines on the same day) is possible.

Since three doses are one set, you cannot choose the dates.

Reception Hours

  • 13:45〜14:00
  • 14:15〜14:30
  • 14:45〜15:00
  • 15:15〜15:30

Reception hours will be the same for all three days.

Capacity 

50 people each hour (200 people total)
Closing as soon as capacity is reached

If you wish to receive the vaccination, please fill out the application form or call the town call center (0276-55-4661).  A “preliminary checkup sheet with vaccination ticket” will be sent to those who have made an appointment.

December 8 (Thu.), 2022 9:00 – December 15 (Thu.), 2022 17:00
Applications received after the application period will be accepted at the town call center.

Notes for the day

What to bring

  • Pre-medical checkup sheet with vaccination ticket
  • Maternal and Child Health Handbook
  • Room shoes or slippers
  • Shoe bag (plastic bag, etc.)
  • Bath towel
  • Medication book (only for those taking medication)
  • Milk, hot water, diapers, etc. (if necessary, please bring your own, as these are not provided at the venue)
  • Picture books and toys (please bring if necessary as there will be a waiting time)

Important notice

  • On the day of the vaccination, please take your temperature at home beforehand, and if you have a fever (37.5 degrees Celsius or higher) or feel unwell, please refrain from the vaccination and contact us to cancel it. Please contact the Town Call Center on weekdays, and on the day of the vaccination (11:00-15:30), call the phone number on the information notice.
  • Please be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Only one person may accompany you.
  • Please wear clothing that is comfortable to show shoulders or thighs (especially for children under 1 year old).
  • Please be sure to fill out and bring the preliminary examination form in advance.
  • Parking is limited. If you live nearby, please walk or bike to the event.

Others

  • Vaccination is not compulsory. Please make sure you understand the advantages (prevention of infection) and disadvantages (adverse reactions, etc.) of the vaccine before deciding to be vaccinated.
  • Adverse reactions after vaccination are expected to include fever. If you are concerned about this, please consult your family doctor and ask for a prescription for a fever reducer prior to vaccination.
