On March 17th (Friday), 2023, a workshop “Seasonal flowers and Japanese Culture /Manners” was held as Training course for Bunka no Tsuyaku (Cultural Interpreter Training Course).
For this lecture, Ms. Kyoko Kai was invited as an instructor, and the participants experienced Japanese style flower arrangement.
The 11 foreign participants carefully arranged each flower individually, learning the basics of ikebana, a traditional Japanese art form, to create their own masterpieces.
Ms. Kai gave a demonstration at the end of the session, and the students reviewed the steps of flower arranging while taking pictures and videos.
It would be great if they could try what they have learned this time at home and enjoy Japanese culture.
