Cleanup activity started early in the morning with the participation of volunteers from Academia GT, a gymnasium in the town, the Nanbu Minami Community Association, Gunma Branch of Japan Tobacco Inc. The Oizumi Police Department and DOCOMO CS Gunma Branch, Inc. This cleanup activity was held for the purpose to build face-to-face relationships between foreigners and Japanese in the community and to promote the development of a community where everyone can help each other and coexist in harmony.
The participants enjoyed picking up trash while interacting with local residents and the volunteers.
The town is recruiting foreign volunteers who are willing to help with cleanup and other activities.
