Washi Training Course for Bunka no Tsuyaku “Washi Paper Lampshade and Japanese Culture/ Manners” was held on October 24th, 2025 (Friday).
The participants learned how to use Washi paper from Ms. Tamura, and expWashi erienced making lampshades using the Washi paper at the workshop.
Nineteen people of various nationalities participated and created it while thinking about the design.
Washi is a type of paper that has been used in Japan since ancient times. Since it’s easy to buy at stores, why not try making various things using Washi paper?
